About Me

Kim-Woodruff.jpg

Welcome! I am Kim (Woodruff) Blair and I am one of the creators of the Inner Peace T'ai Chi form with the support of my teachers Jacqui Shumway and her husband Joe Brady.  Through my own experiences with a mass shooting as a Columbine High School student, I have a unique understanding of how trauma impacts us as individuals and as a community.  I was able to find my peace using T'ai Chi to support my healing, and decided to support others who experienced similar tragedies, beginning with those of the Aurora community. Trauma is more than a single moment or mountain, it can encompass PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, survivor's guilt, grief and more.  The healing process isn't linear and I wanted to support those who were also on this journey.  It took me a little over 10 years to find my peace and my goal when I began teaching Inner Peace T'ai Chi was to provide the help that I so desperately wanted on my own journey.

After the tragedy in Aurora in 2012, I decided that I wanted to be able to help those who I understood, those impacted by trauma.  Therefore, I took the pieces of the T'ai Chi I learned that supported me the most and created this Inner Peace form.  The goal was to create a space for healing together.  Together, we did.  I hope to continue to bring healing to communities everywhere.

All of us deserves to come back to the self and find the peaceful me within.
